IKON je godišnjak u izdanju Centra ikonografskih studija, Filozofskoga fakulteta Sveučilišta u Rijeci. Izlazi kao Zbornik radova predstavljenih na međunarodnom skupu ikonografskih studija te je otvoren i za druge priloge koji odgovaraju temi broja.
IKON predstavlja različite teme ikonografskih studija usredotočujući se prvenstveno na ulogu „slike“ te suvremenu recepciju i percepciju. Časopis nastoji prezentirati različite perspektive u pristupu interpretaciji slike unutar interdisciplinarnoga dijaloga i povezivanja recentnih rezultata srodnih disciplina.
Jezici časopisa su engleski, talijanski i francuski. Svaki članak ima sažetak na hrvatskome jeziku i engleskome jeziku ukoliko je pisan nekim drugim jezikom.
Svaki je članak recenziran od dva nezavisna recenzenta prema strogo definiranom recenzentskom postupku.
IKON se nalazi u SCOPUS bazi, te u Norwegian Social Science Data Services.
IKON je indeksiran u vodećim međunarodnim bibliografskim bazama povijesti umjetnosti (Princeton, Getty Foundation, Harvard, Cornell, Yale i dr.)
IKON is annual publication published by the Center of Iconographic Studies of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Rijeka. IKON promotes a wide range of contents and themes of iconographic studies and iconology, focusing on the role and function of “image” within the period and place of its origin as well as its contemporary reception and discernment. The journal seeks to present different perspectives in understanding and interpreting images incorporating cross-disciplinary studies and recent results in other complementary disciplines.
The languages of the Journal are English, Italian and French with Croatian and English summary (in case the article is submitted in other languages than English). Each article is double- blind reviewed according to the strict reviewing procedure.
IKON is indexed in Web of Science, SCOPUS, ERIH Plus, Norwegian Social Science Data Services, as well as other international bibliographic art history bases (Princeton University, Getty Foundation, Harvard, Cornell, Yale etc.).
Distribution of the Journal is through Brepols Publishers, Belgium.
